CCST (named for Dave Corcoran, Jeff Cosco, Mike Staertow and Don Torpy) is a Rochester super-group of sorts, made up of seasoned local musicians who certainly know their way around the regional music scene. With this new lineup, they’ve decided to give Rochesterians what they’re looking for – “We just want to rock and party with the people.” They promise to keep it simple, to keep the house rocking, and to keep the crowd happy by making them a member of the party. Their music is classic rock – recognizable tunes for fans of rock and roll who love dancing and having fun.
Band members include Dave Corcoran of Duke Jupiter, known for his solid backbeat and powerful voice, on drums and vocals; Jeff Cosco of Cheater, one of Rochester’s best known and highly acclaimed rock artists, on lead vocals; Mike Staertow of Shag, contributing experienced emotional guitar work and vocals; and Don Torpy of Chasing Giants on bass, who adds his well honed talents to Dave’s beat, creating a solid rhythm section.
CCST will be performing at 9 p.m. on May 8 at Pub 511, 511 East Ridge Road. Call 585-266-9559. (www.ccstband.com)
